Bowls is a sport for all ages!
Contrary to the belief that bowls is only for 'old' people, on a national basis more and more young people are taking up the sport. Here at Lowestoft we would welcome an influx of younger members to ensure that the legacy of our club, originally formed in 1939, lives on for many years to come.

In an effort to modernise the sport, Bowls England has relaxed clothing regulations. Club shirts sport colours and a choice of approved trousers, crop trousers or shorts can be worn. Coloured bowls shoes are permitted and the choice of coloured bowls on offer often creates an amazing display on the green.

As a member of our club you can bowl indoors and/or outdoors for social enjoyment and/or competitively. There is a great camaraderie amongst bowlers and the club of course has a bar within the social club.

Indoor FacilitiesWe have four indoor rinks which are in use seven days a week throughout the season, September to March. There are many leagues in which members can participate as well as turn-up-and-play sessions. It is also possible to book a rink for a rollup or competitive play. The rinks remain available throughout the summer with four turn-up-and-play summer leagues.

Outdoor FacilitiesOur six-rink outdoor green is kept in excellent condition and is one of the best and longest rinks in the area. We play in many local leagues and there is also plenty of opportunity for turn-up-and-play, rollups and competitive play.
